Hand-forged Steel Wedge for Axe and Hammer Shafting, various sizes
This may sound familiar: Over time, axe and hammer heads tend to come off the haft, get loose and might at times even fall off. Our hand-forged steel wedge provides an effective solution to this problem. Just drive it into the top end of the wooden shaft in the direction of the grain and it will expand the handle material against the eye of the axe or hammer head, thus ensuring a tight friction fit. A perfect tool for hafting hammers and axes properly.
The wedge is available in two sizes.
