Pendant Thor's hammer made of brass

The Thor's hammer, also called Mjölnir (= the Malmer), is the attribute of the thunder god Thor, who is considered the second highest Nordic deity after his father Odin. According to mythology, the dwarf Brokk forged the Mjölnir and one could throw with it without ever missing the target. With the hammer Thor fights successfully against the giants, who always threaten the gods of the Vans and the Aesir. Also the Midgard serpent got to feel Mjölnir.
Today, the Thor's hammer is considered jewelry and talisman and is also an expression of paganism in a Christian environment.
