Lemon Barley, Old Hamlet
Instructions For Lemon Barley Water: Take 2 lemons and grate the peel thinly. Add the grated lemon peel into a pan, and 1 Old Hamlet lemon barley sachet and 1 litre of water. Bring the lemon barley mixture to the boil, cover the pan and gently simmer for 1.5 hours, then remove from the heat.
In another pan, add 4 tablespoons of sugar and the juice of the two lemons; gently heat until the sugar is dissolved. Strain the original mixture into the pan and allow to cool. Bottle before using as a cordial.
Store in a cool, dark and dry place.
